Don’t be that person. Don’t plug in your electric range (5000+ watts). Don’t plug in a clothes dryer (5000+ watts). Don’t plug in a 20,000 BTU window unit. You’ll just trip the breaker, or worse, melt your extension cord. A 6500-watt generator is a helper, not a miracle worker.
Also, never back-feed your house without a transfer switch. Seriously. You could kill a lineman. That’s not a joke. Get a proper inlet box installed. Your hamsters will thank you.
