The California Powerball has been around since 2013, and it's been making millionaires ever since. The game is simple - players choose five numbers from a pool of 69, and one Powerball number from a pool of 26. Easy peasy, right? But the odds of winning are astronomical, to say the least.
For example, the odds of winning the jackpot are about 1 in 292 million. To put that into perspective, you're more likely to get struck by lightning twice than win the Powerball jackpot. But hey, someone's gotta win, and it might as well be you, right?
So, what's the most that's ever been won in the California Powerball? Well, the largest jackpot to date was a whopping $1.586 billion, won by three lucky ticket holders in 2016. That's a lot of money, if I do say so myself.
