Your mining backpack should include: a pickaxe (duh), a sword for aggressive rocks, healing food (salmonberries or bread are perfect), and a stack of torches. Why torches? Because dark mines are spooky, and you don’t want to trip over a slime. Also, bring a coffee (or three) to boost your speed. You’ll be zipping through floors like a caffeinated squirrel.
Oh, and leave your spouse or pet at home. They will not help, and they will judge you for screaming at the rocks.
The “Oops” Factor: What If You Hit a Dead End?
Sometimes, you’ll run into an infested floor or a puzzle level (looking at you, Floor 35). Don’t panic! Just exit and re-enter the mine. The game will reset the floor to a normal rock layout. You can also use the elevator to skip the bad ones entirely. The mines are not a strict test—they’re more of a suggestion.
