Don’t overthink it. Just ask yourself: “Can my reader find this exact article in three clicks?”
If yes, your citation is perfect. If no, you need more info. Add the date. Add the page number (if it’s a print newspaper!).
Print newspapers? Yes, they still exist. Think of them as paper dinosaurs. But you cite them too. Just write: p. A1 for the front page. Easy.
So go forth. Cite that crazy flamingo-lottery story. Be the hero of your research paper. And remember: MLA is just a game. And you just learned the cheat codes.
