But what makes New Hampshire so special? Well, for starters, it's the first primary state in the nation, which means that candidates have to bring their A-game if they want to impress the voters. And impress them they must, because New Hampshire has a long history of upsetting the odds and choosing the most unlikely candidates to win.
And then there's the retail politics aspect of it all, where candidates have to shake hands, kiss babies, and eats lots of pancakes (yes, really!) in order to win over the hearts and minds of the voters. It's like a never-ending parade of campaign events, and candidates have to be on their toes at all times to keep up with the demand.
