19. Connect.
Reach out to a friend or family member or visit with an often-alone neighbor. It doesn’t have to be a long conversation, as long as you connect with another human being.

20.  Turn off your phone, TV and tablet an hour before bed.
Practice good sleep hygiene to get a great night’s sleep. Try to spend “me time” with your eyes closed before bed, so that the last things on your mind before bedtime are meaningful and relevant to your life (and not about some sci-fi Zombie reality that has nothing to do with you).

21. Journal.
Even if it’s just a few sentences, you should set aside a moment or two to record your thoughts from the day, or as the day begins. We like morning journaling, as it allows you to drain your brain from the night’s sleep and see the types of thoughts that your sleeping mind has rustled up.

22. Volunteer.
Volunteering for any sort of organization that helps others will change your perspective on life no matter how much or little time you can afford to spend on it.
