Here are some helpful shortcut keys for iPhones.
10. To type a number or symbol — No need to switch keyboards! Touch the number or symbol key and slide your finger to the one you want to enter. When you lift your finger, the ABCs are instantly back!
11. Caps & All Caps — To capitalize a word, see above but substitute the Shift key. For All Caps tap the Shift key twice.
12. Add an attachment to an email or message — Double tap where you want to insert a doc or image and you’ll get a pop-up menu that allows you to select the file.

13. Add a period — Double tap the Space Bar.
14. Symbols & Accents — Hold down a letter and you’ll get a pop-up that allows you to select any accents or symbols that correspond to that key.
