6. Ghoulish Goody Bags
For said Halloween party have the kids decorate your goody bags ahead of time. If you use plain brown lunch bags, your kids can go nuts cutting and pasting shapes or drawing and tracing Halloween symbols.

7. Potato Stamps
Forgotten about these from your own youth? Shame on you! Creating stamps using potatoes is a brilliant use of a cheap tuber found at any market! You can easily carve a skull, ghost, bat or cat (okay, a cat might not be so easy) into your potato after slicing it in half. Then, let the kids go nuts painting their chosen colors onto their stamp and putting the images on goody bags, balloons or pumpkins.

8. Spooky Bats
Trace and cut out bats from black constructions paper in the same way you would with paper dolls or have the kids cut them individually if that’s more age appropriate. Take your bat garlands or single bats and, using string or tape, and hang them up as decorations.
