It’s October which means that temperatures are dropping, leaves are changing colors, kids are gearing up for the Halloween sugar rush, apple cider is your drink of choice and decorative gourds are EVERYWHERE. You’re probably seeing corn wreaths on every door in town, but did you know that it’s also National Popcorn Poppin’ Month? Yeah, it’s a thing, we couldn’t make this up if we tried.
In honor this delicious holiday, we’re sharing our favorite popcorn recipes that feature popcorn as a key (and sometimes surprising) ingredient. Sound weird to cook with popcorn? It shouldn’t, after all the Popcorn Board says, “Popcorn is a whole grain, making it a good-for-you food and is naturally low in fat and calories.” Sounds like the perfect snack and perfect ingredient. Here are some interesting popcorn recipes to try this October.
