So what’s a sports nut to do? Well, if you have an Apple TV or Roku you can buy a paid subscription to NBA, NHL and MLB, though they aren’t always cheap so in the end, you might not be saving much money from ditching your cable plan. You can also buy an old-school antenna, which will get you access to basic cable networks, which usually show the big games (i.e. the Super Bowl, the Olympics, NBA Finals etc.) Or when in doubt, mooch off a friend and watch the big games at their house or at a local sports bar, which always has big TVs, cable, and lots and lots of adult beverages.
