It makes sense that the Cancer sign is represented by a crab as its mascot. Crabs are quick to retreat to their shell (aka their home) when they feel uncomfortable, threatened or they aren’t confident in the people around them. A Cancer sign might need a little nudge to get out of their shell from time to time, because that is where they feel safest. They don’t like confrontation, and while they can be deeply sensitive on the inside, their hard exterior sometimes makes them seem a bit moody, irritable and crabby (see what we did there?) Cancers stick to their home because it is where they feel most at ease, most confident and most emotionally safe.
