This smoothie is a testament to the idea that often the things that work best are the ones that are simplest. We don’t need to enumerate the many benefits of smoothies, so we’ll just give you our cliff notes. They are one-stop meal replacements (or snacks) that are as tasty and nutritious as you want to make them, which liberates you to have a different kind of smoothie every single day. With that in mind, behold our tropical fruit smoothie, or as we like to call her, blended vacay.

Tropical fruits are awesome because of their sugary nectar, which can essentially replace your “bad sugar” intake by keeping your sweet tooth at bay. Papayas and mangoes, in particular, evoke real island essence, which is always a great way to start your day. The addition of Tajín ® balances out the sweetness, with its zesty chile kick. So you’re not only getting the fruit nutrients, but also the known antioxidant properties of the Mexican chiles and lime in the seasoning. In addition to being chalk full of Vitamin C, chiles also contain other key antioxidants such as vitamin-A, and flavonoids like b-carotene, a-carotene, lutein, zea-xanthin, and cryptoxanthin. These substances help protect the body from the damaging effects of free radicals generated during stress or illness.

Ingredients
Makes 2 servings
1 mango, peeled and seeded
1 papaya, peeled and seeded
1/2 cup fresh strawberries
1/3 cup orange juice
5 cubes ice
Tajín Clásico

Directions
1. Place the mango, papaya, strawberries, orange juice, and ice cubes in a blender. Process until the ingredients are smooth.
2. Rim glasses with orange juice and Tajín Clásico
3. Pour and Enjoy!
