WHERE IS THE MONEY?
I understand that the trend is to say you should follow your heart, and the money will eventually follow. I’m not advocating for pursuing a career only for the sake of income— you will not be as successful if you’re only in it for the cash—but considering new aspects of what you already do, that are more profitable than the old-school way. If you are a journalist and print media seems to have closed its doors on you—as it did on me—then consider a career writing online. If you are a skilled teacher, instead of applying to a school near you, teach webinars instead.
