Compromise. SpongeBob has a close-knit circle of friends that include Squidward, Patrick the pink starfish and Sandy the Texan squirrel. They all quarrel, make up and resolve their conflicts in the end. It teaches kids that it’s okay to argue and have different points of view and that true friends learn to make compromises.

Determination. SpongeBob fails over and over at getting his boating license, and yet he never stops trying. No matter how many times Squidward brushes him off, he still goes back to be his friend. He is not easily deterred.
