5. Make a Plan
Sometimes social development in children calls for some strategy. If your child is struggling to make friends or is feeling left out in school, work with his or her teacher to develop a plan that will help them get involved and build their social confidence. Maybe they can take on a new role in the classroom that will make them feel secure and special, or perhaps there is a group project that will enable them to work closely with others and make new friends. Make social skills a priority along with schoolwork.
