Last minute gift ideas with Latin flair for all the people in your family!

There are less than 10 days until Santa departs the North Pole—and I have yet to shop for Christmas gifts. Did I mention I have more than two dozen to score? I’m the ultimate procrastinator. I can’t help it, all the shiny distractions of the season distract me. But I’m not worried, I go through this every year and the story always ends sweeter than a chocolate dipped candy cane.

Note to self: Buy supplies to make chocolate-dipped candy canes, they sound yummy!

Back to the task at hand…gifts! Being a working artist, I’m all about shopping that way too. Here is a list of some of my favorite sites from my fellow craftistas, each with a Latin flair! You may want to order ASAP to ensure holiday delivery.

Novio/Sweetheart Pillow by Arriba Chica ($38)—This is just one of Kimberly Maier’s many pillows that feature a vintage pop art twist. This sweetheart papel picado pillow can be personalized and is printed on vintage linen. A portion of the proceeds go to the Casa Hogar Santa Julia Orphanage in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and the Hogar del Nino, A.C. in Todos Santos, Baja California to support and empower young children.

Nativity III with Wise Men Wall Key Holder ($30)—Artista Flor Larios created this art piece on a wooden plaque inspired by antique icons. She used a reproduction of one of her paintings as the focal point and added a variety of mixed media effects. Perfect for hanging keys, scarves, even a small purse.

La Catrina or Frida Kahlo Glass Ornament ($35)—Casa Q has the market cornered on beautiful Latino-themed glass ornaments. Owner Darlene Tenes sketches each design and sees the production through every stage to ensure perfection. I keep my Casa Q ornaments up all year in my house—they are that cool!

Milagro Heart Chandelier Earrings ($60)—Created by Lisa Rocha, this is one of those amazing items where you have to stop and think “Should I buy this for me?” No worries, Lisa will have new designs for sale after the New Year and you can splurge then.

Alma, Corazon Y Vida Notecard Set ($9.95)—This set features the artwork of Anna Alvarado and her brilliant, magical technique of ink on wood. This notecard set is perfect to use as post-holiday thank yous or as an added sentimental touch on gifts.

Cha Cha Carmen Long Sleeve Shirt ($69)—Have a blingy, rainbowy, Chihuahua-loving person on your list? This is the perfect gift for her. Designed by Cathy Garcia, this blouse was inspired by her beloved Chihuahua, Cha-Cha. Multi-colored rhinestones grace the front, highlighting the doggie’s headpiece, pendant, as well as the filigree.
