5. Mia Hamm, Soccer Player Named FIFA’s World Player of the Year in 2001 and 2002, Mia Hamm was an incredible athlete that was the youngest American woman to win a World Cup championship at the age of 19. She also led the USA women’s soccer team to 2 gold medals at the Olympics in 1996 and 2004. Not a bad rap sheet. And after all that success on the field, she retired to raise a family, and has dedicated her time to the Mia Hamm Foundation.
