I did my research and I could not find a utensil that would solve my problem, so I decided to make one myself! When I told my husband, his reply was: “Go for it!” I contacted lawyers and I realized I was on a journey to something “big” and got my empanada fork patented in December 2012—the holiday season once again. Since then, restaurants have tested it and liked it and I’ve learned that I can use my own invention to make a variety of dishes a lot faster to prepare!
