Gallinippers or Psorophora Ciliata
Referred to as “gallinippers” or “shaggy-legged gallinippers,” they’re huge in size and aggressive in attitude. Plus, their stings are said to really hurt. Beware, the American Gallinippers have tested positive for West Nile disease and various strains of Encephalitis.

Aedes Japonicas
Hailing from Asia, this bugger has now become the third invasive mosquito species to be reported in Europe, though it is also found in the U.S. It’s a carrier or West Nile, Japanese encephalitis, La Crosse virus, Chikungunya virus and Dengue virus.
