November first is Book Lovers’ Day and we’re doing the happy dance because we LOVE books, and we can never get enough of listing the myriad advantages of reading books. Avid readers, whether we’re talking about our kids, friends, parents, lovers or even ourselves, are awesome to have around. Vladimir Nabokov may have said it best in Lolita: “I need you, the reader, to imagine us, for we don’t really exist if you don’t.”

As voracious readers, we fuel the mere existence of literature. We demand the production of non-fiction work and we keep valuable bookstores in business. Plus, we’re usually pretty darn smart. So in honor of Book Lovers’ Day, we’re celebrating, well, ourselves with 15 things about readers that makes them the coolest.
