2. Bans & Restrictions are Hotly Debated
Vermont was the first state to ban the fracking process. Since their ban was put into place, hundreds of other cities and states to limit or stop fracking. The Christian Science Monitor reports, “Across the country—from California to New York, and Ohio to Texas—state courts are determining whether or not local fracking bans are legitimate.”
