Wait, you thought games were only for your 5-year-old and his friends? Newsflash! You may be getting older, but the ability to have fun and let loose with a silly game and some friends never goes away. And when you fall into a social rut and you feel like you keep going to the same bars, seeing the same people and having the same “adult” conversations, it’s time to spice things up with a little match of Jenga. René Proyer, a psychologist at the University of Zurich, is a part of a group of researchers who are discovering that “people who exhibit high levels of playfulness—-those who are predisposed to being spontaneous, outgoing, creative, fun-loving, and lighthearted—-appear to be better at coping with stress, more likely to report leading active lifestyles, and more likely to succeed academically.”
